While the CDC and other local health departments have issued guidance advising that wearing a mask may help to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19, you should know that our reusable cloth face masks have not been approved by the CDC, the FDA, or any other federal, state or local health department.
Pair of Thieves cloth face masks are not intended to be used as a medical device or other medical product which require liquid barrier protection. These masks should not be used (1) in a clinical setting where the infection risk level through inhalation exposure is high; (2) for antimicrobial or antiviral protection or related uses or uses for infection prevention or reduction or related uses; (3) as a respiratory protective device, or (4) for high risk aerosol-generating procedures. Our masks are not a substitute for an N95 respirator, surgical mask or face shield which are typically used for these situations.
Pair of Thieves makes no warranties, either express or implied, that the face mask prevents infection or the transmission of viruses or diseases, including COVID-19. By using the mask, you waive any claims against Pair of Thieves. Care should be taken in the way that you put on or remove your mask, as improper use could increase the risk of infection. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing their face covering and wash your hands immediately after removing your mask. Cloth masks should be routinely washed in a washing machine.
You should continually check for guidance provided by the FDA and CDC regarding the continued use of cloth face masks, including whether any emergency use authorizations are removed or modified. The use of cloth face masks has been authorized by FDA under an emergency use authorize for use by the general public to help prevent the spread of infection or illness during the COVID-19 pandemic. Use of cloth face masks for this purpose is authorized for the duration of the declaration while circumstances exist justifying the authorization of its emergency use.
As part of our commitment to safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will temporarily not allow returns on cloth face masks.
